You are a doctor: referring a patient.
A direct line for colleagues, at any hour: +216 00 000 000. A psychiatrist calls back the same day.
What we take on
- Medically supervised withdrawal: alcohol, benzodiazepines and hypnotics, opioids, cannabis, cocaine and stimulants, pregabalin and diverted medicines, tobacco.
- Acute psychiatric decompensations requiring a protective admission.
- Dual diagnosis: addiction with a psychiatric disorder.
- Day hospital and outpatient consultations, as follow-on from an inpatient stay.
The referral letter
A brief letter is enough. The details that save us time:
- Substance or substances, doses, how long, last use
- History of withdrawal, seizures or delirium
- Current treatment, including self-medication
- Psychiatric history and assessment of suicide risk
- Comorbidities: hepatic, cardiac, metabolic
- The most recent laboratory results available
- Family and social context, and who the contact person is
Send it to contact@sevrage-tunisie.com or hand it to the patient.
Timelines
- Emergency: assessment the same day, with admission possible straight away.
- Planned withdrawal: a preliminary consultation within a few days, then a date set with the patient.
- Simple consultation: by appointment.
Reports back to you
You receive an admission report, then a discharge report setting out the protocol conducted, the diagnosis made, the discharge treatment and the proposed follow-up. The patient remains yours: we take over an episode, not the relationship.
